Our Apothecary is a collection of carefully curated natural health products, skin care items, a beautiful display of over 100 jars of organic loose leaf herbs, and our signature line of “Dr. Lauren’s Teas”.

Women’s Health & Healing Days
A little retreat, right here at The Root. These special days bring together four thoughtful treatments in one restorative experience, with a small guest list and time set aside just for you.
Your visit begins with a women’s health-focused Naturopathic consultation, followed by Red Light Therapy, a Gua Sha & Flow Facial, and Integrative Acupuncture. Flow from one treatment to the next, with space to exhale, feel cared for and reconnect with yourself.
Offered just 4–5 weekends a year. These days fill quickly! Send us a note and we will put you on our priority list for first access to the next date.

Do I need a referral to book an appointment?
No referral is required for any of our services. You can book directly with a Naturopathic Doctor, our Registered Acupuncturist, or our Registered Massage Therapist, whether you’re addressing a specific concern or simply investing in your long-term health.
Are your services covered by insurance?
Many extended health insurance plans include coverage for Naturopathic Medicine, Acupuncture, and Registered Massage Therapy, though coverage varies by plan and provider. We recommend confirming your individual benefits with your insurance provider. Please note that laboratory testing ordered by a Naturopathic Doctor is not covered by OHIP.
Do you offer direct billing?
We offer direct billing for most providers. Ask our team when booking to confirm whether direct billing is available for your specific plan and practitioner.
Do I need to know what's wrong before I book?
No. You don’t need a diagnosis or a clear idea of what’s causing your symptoms to get started. We’ll help you look at the bigger picture and figure out the right next steps together.
Can I see a practitioner virtually?
Yes. Our Naturopathic Doctors offer secure virtual appointments to patients anywhere in Ontario, with the same dedicated time and individualized approach as an in-person visit. Acupuncture and massage therapy are currently offered in person only, at our Port Credit clinic.
Where is your clinic located?
The Root Natural Health Clinic is located in Port Credit, Mississauga. We see patients in person at our clinic and virtually across Ontario.
How do I know which service is right for me?
